Is a bookkeeper the same thing as a CPA?
No. A CPA is a Certified Public Accountant. There are numerous educational requirements and testing you must pass in order to become a CPA. A CPA will use the data a bookkeeper has organized, recorded, and prepared into financial statements to give you financial advice.
